 The Ministry of Communications
says Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) is currently
working on the 330kV transmission line that developed a fault resulting in a
partial system collapse on Thursday January 21, 2016 at about 5:20am.
According to a statement from the Communication Ministry, in the
course of these repairs the system experienced a challenge leading to some
parts of the country going off at about midday today 25th January 2016.
The statement says Engineers of
GRIDCo have however isolated the fault and begun restoring power to the
affected areas.
It however apologized for any inconvenience
caused.
