DESTINY CHANGED WITHIN MINUTES; GHANAIANS MUST EMULATE

What happened last Saturday with the taxi driver who   foiled the armed robbery attack on a Koala employee at Cantonments has really confirmed that Destiny can be changed within seconds, minutes or hours.  Who would have thought the taxi driver will be rewarded with a house or even invited to the flag staff house for a treat. To remind anyone reading this the driver whose name and identity have been withheld for security reasons chased and knocked down the two robbers on a motorbike after which an armed military man came in to arrest the duo. The two suspects Abaliku Sannie, 35, and Oko Quaicoo, 30, shot a Koala employee,  and made away with what was reported to be cash from the sale of products from the Shopping centre.  But just when they thought the deal was done, the taxi-driver in a rare show of bravery mounted a hot chase and knocked the suspects into a ditch. <br>
The robbers were said to have shot at the taxi driver in a bid to stop him from chasing them but that did not deter him. The two suspects are now behind bars and the victim of the attack is responding to treatment. A supervisor at Koala Gilbert Osabutey has also been arrested for allegedly conniving with the  two suspects to rob the shop. But the rewards for the brave taxi driver has been overwhelming. Vice President K. B. Amissah-Arthur who made the announcement  of President Mahama&apos;s reward when he hosted the taxi driver, Nana Yaw, at the Flagstaff House commended the driver for his patriotism and heroic act. Already,  the driver has been promised a new vehicle by Koala. The police service has also promised to repair the spoilt car. Indeed every good work done deserves a reward! We as individuals must take a lesson from this. We must avail ourselves to help the police at all times since the security and safety of our country is a shared responsibility. We must also be willing to help anyone who needs our help. You may not know where your reward will come from.  Long live Ghana!
