GOV'T CLEARS ALL AREARERS OWED GHANA SCHOOL FEEDING PROGRAM

Government  has cleared all arrears owed the Ghana School Feeding Programme, the MPs Development Fund and Disability Fund for 2015. Government  has also released more than GH¢100 million to settle the arrears for caterers operating under the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP) for the third and fourth quarters of last year.

The Administrator of District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF), Mr Kojo Fynn, who disclosed this  indicated that GH¢48.7 million was paid for the third quarter, while GH¢51.5 million was paid for the fourth. “We have, therefore, cleared all outstanding arrears for 2015 to the GSFP, additionally, the DACF has paid GH¢38 million into the Members of Parliament (MPs) Development Fund to clears arrears for both the third and fourth quarters of last year" he stressed. Mr Kojo Fynn also stated that GH¢6 million has also been paid into the Disability Fund for onward disbursement to people living with disability.
