The National Youth Organizer
of the All Peoples Congress Mordecai Thiombiano has admonished Ghanaians
especially the youth to eschew negative practices that will endanger Ghana’s
peace before during and after the elections.
He noted that belonging to different political parties does not make two people enemies therefore we must learn to tolerate each other.

“We are one people and
have one Ghana hence we must guard the peace we are enjoying now” he stated.
Mr.
Thiombiano was speaking the inauguration
of the African Praise Choir(APC) in Accra.The launch which was on the theme
‘Alaz meaning to rejoice, to exalt, to jump for joy brought together young
people to lift praise and worship to God, and to celebrate Jesus Christ for His
love and mercies through powerful ministrations.

Thiombiano explained that his party decided to take part in the launch of the
African Praise Choir not just because they share the same abbreviation but
because the All Peoples Congress believes in all inclusive government.
“My
party believes that everybody is important when it comes to the building and
development of this great nation” he said.
Mr Thiombiano also emphasized that the party also
shares in the vision of the African Praise Choir which is to be an internationally
recognized choir that nurtures the youth through musical excellence, helping
them reach their fullest potential and live enriched lives through vocal music.
According to Mr Thiombiano the All Peoples Congress
is so much concern about youth empowerment and development of the country and
African Praise Choir organizing a program will put the fear of the god in the
youth which will go a long way make them contribute in building a better Ghana.
Launching the African Praise Choir , Aspiring
National Democratic Congress MP for Ablekuma West Constituency Mrs Diana Twum
congratulated the choir for its hard work and dedication in the gospel music
industry.
Being in an election year, Mrs Twum used the occasion to reteirate the need for
all to maintain of peace in the country.
According to her maintaining peace in the country should be the number
priority of all.
“Its God who elect and chooses leaders so let us
stay calm and allow God to choose the right people to lead this country” she
noted.
Apostle Mike Sackeyfio, Patron of the African
Praise Choir called on all to support the choir to achieve its vision.
According to him the choir which has a bright future has financial challenge
hence everybody must in one way or the other support this great choir.
General Secretary of the Choir , Victoria Ahadzie
in an address called on Africans to support the Choir to erase the perception
that the whites can sing better than the
blacks.
“With your contribution, the African Praise Choir
will nurture more youth who can sing more than the whites alongside portraying
our rich Africa culture” she stated.
The African Praise
Choir popularly known as APC came into existence in 2012. With the vision to be
an internationally recognized choir, APC pursue this vision through hard work
and dedication. Whiles remaining distinctly Ghanaian the choir blends its
repertoire with songs from all nations of the world particularly religious
songs with the aim of winning souls for the kingdom of God.
The African Praise
Choir started with 15 people but currently has over 30 memberships. The Choir
has been performing at high level programs. APC in 2015 took part in the season
three of the TV3 Celebration Singing Reality Show.
