GOVERNMENT COMMUNICATIONS RESTRUCTURED
Mr Francis Kwarteng Arthur has been relieved of his duties as Acting Director of the Information Services Department. A statement signed by the Chief of Staff, Mr Julius Debrah, also indicated that the Ministry of Communications assumes responsibility for the Flagstaff House Communications Bureau.
The Information Service Department for sometime now has being on the media due to an errors made in the brochure printed Ghana's for the 59th Independence Parade.
Mr. Francis Kwarteng Arthur , Acting Director of the Information Services Department assumed responsibility of the errors and apologized to President John Dramani Mahama and Ghanaians for the obvious errors in the brochures after several criticisms from the public that the brochure which contained several grammatical and typographical errors were embarrassing considering that the event was also patronized by foreigners.
In a statement signed by the acting Director of the ISD, Francis Kwarteng Arthur on Monday, said the department authored the content of the brochure and thus accepts full responsibility for the mistakes.
But Staff of the Information Services Department (ISD) have denied responsibility for the inaccuracies and blunders committed in the brochure. According to the staff, they could not be blamed for the errors in the brochures, since the contract for the work was given to private individuals, instead of the ISD.
